Susan, you seem to have the best interest of the horses at heart, and that is supposed to be what it is all about. Not the falsifications and enhancements that can temporarily aid in winning. I would be interested to hear how you feel about the effect of "casino tracks" and purses on what has been going on with increased use of masking and performance drugs. The Times piece states that as a "reason" people are doping more. Yet we know in other countries, running healthy sound horses on natural surfaces the horses are not at such risk. Is anyone looking into the increase in jockey injuries correlated with the abuse of drugs? I know there has been an increase, but is there a clear, direct correlation? Sometimes, to change things for the animals, it needs to be shown how it affects humans...
